Many casino and bingo sites offer their players a side game called scratch cards. These are cards that are purchased for one to five dollars or pounds that offer an immediate winner if the card is one that designates the holder as a winner. The prizes that these cards pay range from a few pounds or dollars to over 100,000 to the winner. These huge possible wins is what makes them attractive to the players, even though the odds of winning are very high. If you are on a lucky streak it may be a good time to try a few quid on the cards. On the other hand most gamblers should not risk any money on them unless they have a strong hunch or feeling about making such a play. Every site that offers scratch cards has deals on them and payoffs that are small to very large. The decision to play is all about feeling or hunches and not about odds or logic. Players should be aware that from an odds standpoint, the playing of these cards is a bad gamble. However players do play them and every now and again some one wins a huge pot from the cards. This is similar to what one sees in lotteries. there are many bets in any casino that are more rational to make, but gambling is luck and these cards are only about luck. There is no logic to their play by an online player.
Keno is a similar high odds gamble that players are willing to give a few dollars or pounds to on a lark. The odds of hitting an eight spot ticket are not even close to what the game pays out. Casinos consider Keno their bread and butter game and are more than willing to have runners in live casinos so players will play the game. A lucky person can make any bad gamble they want and still win. There is nothing wrong with taking a few shots at some larger payoffs, but these games are not the ones that should be played instead of other games that have reasonable odds.
Both games are strictly about winning by luck and nothing else. There is no logic to either that gives the player a better chance of winning. However taking a shot when the feeling is strong is not the worse gamble in the world. The secret is to not waste to much money on either game. Take a few shots and then quit and play games with better odds.

Choosing which poker sites to give action too, is a good question for any poker player. Not all sites are the same. Some only have good ring games and not very good tournaments. Many others have just the opposite situation. the list of game on one site may be scarce in limits that are comfortable for the player to play. Other sites may not have any big games for players that would be considered high rollers. Some players like off the wall poker games and are not looking to play Holdem. Not all sites will accommodate them in their choice of games. Tournament players are always looking for tournaments with great guarantees and little entry fees. This is the combination that makes tournament players line up to play. Little risk for a big prize is a deadly attraction to tournament poker players. Also a range of entry fees is the sign of a good site to play.
Any site that is in the running as a possible choice should be carefully looked at to see what the player count is at different times of the day. Many of the really good poker sites have no problem with low player count, but there are sites that do have a problem with this situation.
A higher player count helps to keep the games full, which keeps them from closing down due to lack of players. This is a problem that only a good player count can correct.
Game selection not only is concerned with the limits or the time of the game, but what is the game type. If a player is a seven card stud player then they want to see a number of these games to choose from as to limits and player availability. The same can be said for Omaha or Holdem games that are up for play. There are no substitutes for game selection, limits or type of game. No Limit choices and limit choices are another consideration for a good poker site.
All of these factors are in the mix to pick a good poker site to play on. Spiffs and bonuses are important, but the game selection is paramount when choosing where to play. Kick back of rakes or on deposits are always welcome, but are never enough to make a player give up these other factors. Bad games are bad games no matter what other incentives a poker site offers.

If a player wishes to make some money without risking any capital, then playing games on a No Deposit gaming site is one way to do it. There are a number of gaming sites both bingo and casino that are of the No Deposit variety which means they give out a credit to registered account holders. As long as the sites are not part of a family of interconnected sites this idea will work. A player can sign up on as many of these sites as they want to and then play with the credit money if they lose they can move on and if they win, they can keep playing until the meet the play through requirement and then send the winnings home if that is possible. Each site will have a different credit amount and play through requirement. For those sites that prove lucky, the winner can play until they have the maximum withdrawal allowed. For those that have the patience and the time this plan to play on as many No Deposit sites as possible is one that makes sense as long as the rules are abided by.
It will take some time to go through the list of No Deposit sites as they are being added to every week. Also some will have very stringent rules that will make ever winning and getting the money off the site impossible. Only those websites with fair rules should be played. There is no sense wasting time and effort on sites with ridiculous rules that can never be beaten in the No Deposit game. The fact that there are so many sites now days that offer this option, finding the next candidate will never be a problem for several weeks. How much money can be made this way will depend on luck and the sites chosen to play for the No Deposit trial.
Many online sites look upon such a plan as unethical or underhanded, but they are the ones offering the No Deposit options. This is similar to live casinos not liking card counters in blackjack games. It is not illegal to use your brain to beat any casino or bingo site at any time as long as it does not involve cheating in any way. Whether this plan is a big winner or not is only going to be discovered by doing the work involved and the sites chosen.

Playing slots is fun and can be very lucrative if the luck is with you. It can also be very addictive and casinos are well aware of this fact. Players should set a loss limit and a session time for their play on slots. If this is not done, the player can over stay a winning streak or stay way to long during a losing streak. Leaving sessions when the time is up or the winning or losing amount reaches the limit the player set helps to control the addiction. This is one of the basic reasons for setting the limits.
Slot play is fun, but the winning spin may be just one spin away. This deception is always present. One more spin or one more fiver is a very easy trap to fall for. The player that has no boundaries set is not able to have a logical reason for quitting win or lose.
The lure of a big progressive jackpot is very strong for slot players and this prize can make players play longer than they should. Every player wants to win the big progressive jackpot. When to quit and when to stay is always the question in any gaming session. Setting limits helps to solve this problem. Beating the game is what it is all about and players that figure a way to do this are way ahead of the game. There are all kinds of gaming philosophies that players can use. Setting limits is only one of them. Other rules that have value can be put to use. The problem is only a player can set rules for their play that they will abide by in the long run.

Gambling of any kind should be kept well within the gamblers means. Playing beyond a players means is a good way to play badly as the correct moves will be inhibited for fear of losing. Playing well within the means makes it easy to play and do the right thing
If a session has been a losing one then the player needs to stay within loss limits. The worst thing a player can do is chase a losing streak. Most of the time the streak just gets worse. There is no reason for a streak to start or end. Players that think differently are in for a big nasty loss. Controlling losses is the first step to being a winner. The biggest part of this is knowing when to push and when to back off. Players that do not do this will lose more than the mean too. Players that push on a winning streak are going to do fine, but those that keep fighting the losses are destined to lose more than they thought they would. Every gamblers sees this happen to themselves some time, if they learn from it then the lesson was cheap. If they do not learn from it they will lose more than they should on every losing streak.
The opposite is true if the luck is running the other way. Push a winning streak and back off of a losing one. Most gamblers do just the opposite. Casinos know this and are only fearful of players that do the right thing at the right time. The best gamblers are those that can sense the way the streak is going and either push the bets or cut them back. Streaks are peculiar in that they are as quick in a direction as mercury is on a plate. Do not expect the way the game or wagers is going on the first few wagers is the way the streak will be throughout the game. Winning and losing wagers is part of the game and should be expected However longer streaks do set in during a session and these are the streaks that need to be watched for. This is where the money is lost or won. When a game is on and the game is heating up, players that keep their heads are more likely to win and lose less if the game turns against them.

Sites that give out outrageous bonuses are likely to have very stiff rules before the bonus money can be sent home. In many cases the freedom for bonus money is likely to never happen as the play through rules are just to high. this is the part of the bonus program that very few players ever even look at. All they see is their $200 deposit will be matched with five $100 bills. This is not well known to online gamblers, but the rules are designed to do just that. The play through rules are calculated to make sure statistically that the bonus money is used up long before the requirement is met. Very very few people ever see any of that money.
Answers to this dilemma can be corrected by not worrying about bonus money when picking a place to play. The games on the site and the treatment of deposits and regular withdrawals are the items to investigate when picking a site for the first time. Check out the game list very carefully as this is what makes a site worth staying with. If it is a poker site make sure the games and limits you are after are listed. Also pay attention to the player count as this is what keeps games full and playable. If you are a tournament player look for the frequency of the tournaments that have entry fees that are within your means. A full schedule is the best that any player can expect and fees that are acceptable. If the cash games are your interest make sure that the limits or buy ins are at a level that you are comfortable with. The final element is the type of games you are willing to play. If these are scheduled too, then the site may be what you are looking for.
If the slot games are your game, then a selection of games and jackpots that are attractive make up the site that could be your match. Also look for features that are extra like slot tournaments and video poker games with extras like bonus bets.
The point is make sure the site has what you want and do not be blinded by a big bonus. I tis the games that make a site in the long run, not the bonus. A favorable selection is the answer to most players needs.

There was a semi-street person that lived in a Nevada casino town. He was in a casino at breakfast time and ran into a real street person. The difference was the semi-street person had a cheap room to sleep in and the real street person slept in the street or in shelters. They knew each other and this conversation was overheard. The real street person said that last night he had lost all of his money playing the quarter slots. The real street person went on to say that he was tired of fighting the ups and downs of his existence in this gambling town and was going to commit suicide to end it. The semi-street person asked are you really? When the conversation continued there were further questions and answers between the two men.
This led to the final exchange which only would be heard in a gaming town between street people. “Did you really lose all of your money? Yes, well I have five dollars left. Semi-street then said with a straight face, “Well, will you buy me breakfast before you kill yourself?”
Of course nothing happened, but the exchange could take place in any gaming town in the world between two down and outers. Some may not see the humor, but if you know people in a casino town, then you can imagine this exchange taking place just as described.

Baccarat can be played online or in a live casino. In a live casino the player can play out in the casino at a table or in the baccarat room. In any of these situations it is legal for the player to keep a running track of the last hand and whether it was a bank, player or tie hand.
On a Baccarat Card this is easy to do as the player just marks the squares in a column for the player or the bank win or draws a line through both which signifies a tie hand. When several hands have been played and from then on it is easier to see if there is a trend or a pattern developing. For this reason many baccarat players use the Baccarat Score Card to look for trends and patterns. After each deal, the player marks the card an looks for obvious trends or patterns. A trend is a number of hands on the same side of the shoe, like four banks in a row or five players in a row. A pattern is the hands repeat a sequence again and again. When this happens in a shoe, the chances to make money are improved dramatically. When to play for a trend and when to buck a trend is why they call it gambling. The best philosophy is not to buck a trend, play for a continuation, but if uncomfortable lower the bet to the minimum.
Bucking the trend is the easiest way to turn a loss into a big loss.
If a pattern is present, play it for a few bets to see if it continues. If the pattern stays whole, then the money will flow in, like an explorer following a map gets to the promised land. I have seen a pattern last the whole column on a Baccarat Score Card. That is a huge number of winning hands. Playing baccarat is about planning ahead and then following the plan. Once a player deviates from their plan, they are gambling, which means they are guessing and depending on luck. The reason to play baccarat is it can be beat by playing with a plan that takes advantage of trends and no trends like a shoe that flip flops back and forth between bank and player. By the way this is the hardest pattern that a player can follow. All of these ideas work when playing baccarat. High rollers like this game for one basic reason, the trends and patterns and the fact that the house cannot change a shoe after it has been shuffled, put in the shoe and put in play. Also the limits on the game are usually the highest in the casino per bet.

Gambling attracts all types of personalities. Some have a great deal of class and some have no idea what class is all about. This happening was the perfect end to a gambler with no class.
Casino sports books are filled with an interesting melting pot of people. In this particular sports book there was a fellow that only played chalk horses. When they won about a third of the time, he would yell at the top of his lungs, “Who didn’t know that” Every horse player knows that playing favorites all of the time is a sure way to lose money. His constant yelling about some 6 to 5 win was getting on all the other horse players nerves and when he was asked to cool it he just refused to do it and yelled even louder on the next even money favorite that won for him. His yell, was always the same, “Who didn’t know that”
One very bright horse handicapper put the hammer to him one day when a situation that he had been waiting for came about. Mr. Obnoxious was yelling before the race about a horse that he stated had no chance of losing. It could not lose. The race unfolded just as he thought it would with his chalk horse in front coming into the stretch. Then a horse that the superior handicapper liked made his move, at the 16th pole the two horses were running neck and neck. As they got closer to the finish line the favorite got short legged and the 12 to one shot moved out in front to stay. The race ended with Mr. Obnoxious bemoaning the fact that his sure thing lost due to the jockey and that the other horse must have been doped up. Then at the top of his lungs the horse player that had wagered on the 12 to one shot, yelled as loud as he could, “Who didn’t know that” The punters seated in the little area that the horse players used for handicapping, began to laugh out loud until the whole room filled with laughter. “Who didn’t know that” they began to chant. Mr. Obnoxious left and never returned to the room where he got verbally spanked. If someone wanted to get a laugh after that, all they had to do was yell “Who didn’t know that’, as the race ended.

Baccarat is a game of streaks and players that take advantage of this facet of the game can make a great deal of money. Baccarat is dealt from a shoe with six to eight decks making up the cards in the shoe. Once the shoe is shuffled and set for play, there is no way the house can change the run of the cards. For this reason it is not unusual to see runs of winning hands on the bank side of the game or the players side of the game. Players that follow the last winning hand do this in hopes of the streak lasting for a few hands. It is not at all unusual for a winning side to have three or four winning hands in a row. If the streak last longer than that maybe it will approach ten or 15 winning hands in a row on one side of the shoe. One rule that should be etched in stone is never try to figure out when a streak will end and play against the trend. This is a great way to lose more than an ego play is worth.
Playing against a streak is not wise and if the streak has gone past the player’s comfort level the play is to stay with the streak, but cut the wager to the minimum. When players are having a winning time, the best wager is the double of the bet for a couple of hands and then revert back to the initial level of wager. This will accumulate money during the streak and prevent giving it all back when the streak ends. Follow the shoe is the favorite play of most baccarat players. Any other method is guessing most times. The one exception is the player that keeps track of hands on a card and watches for patterns. These do happen in baccarat and these patterns are sometimes worth playing. Patterns do repeat and players are wise to look for them Not all winning plays can be planned and luck does enter into it. But planing does let a player take advantage of the luck that is falling their way. Luck should be taken advantage of or there is no reason to gamble. Baccarat is one of the games that high rollers like to play due to its streakiness. They understand that the game is one that can be played for a run on one side or the other.
